I hope you dare to start. Even though you’re afraid. Even though you have doubt. Even though you can’t help but compare to everyone. Even though you wished to be further in your personal journey.
I hope you can start and never stop. I hope you learn how to be proud of the person you are becoming. I hope you will be proud of where you are – even if it isn’t where you want to be, because you fell in love with the process, with the messiness of life and perfect imperfectness that’ll always be there.
At the end of the day, I hope you allow yourself to achieve everything you desire. I hope you know that you don’t need to impress anyone, but yourself. It’s not your job to prove yourself or gain approval from other people. You don’t owe anybody anything. You only owe it to yourself to start. To shift from the neutral gear into the first gear. Slowly tapping on the gas pedal, like you would when driving a car for the first time. You’ll be amazed on how secure and fast you can go if you give yourself enough time to get comfortable. No one can shift into the sixth gear right away and go with full speed, not even the person you may aspire. Everyone has to start at the very beginning. With fear. With doubt. With uncertainty. But knowing that it will eventually subside and something greater will take its place.
